Cheri Schultz, RN, BSN is the Executive Director at Prairie Hills Assisted Living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she has been dedicated to serving seniors since 2014. With over 30 years of experience in both clinical caregiving and administrative management, Cheri is a respected leader in senior living. Her career in healthcare began in 1997, with experience at PCI Urology, St. Luke’s Hospital, OB GYN & Associates, and Medicenter West, all in Cedar Rapids.

Cheri holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Kirkwood Community College. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and has earned certifications in Frontline Nursing Leadership and Assisted Living Management. She has also been an active member and prior Board Director of the Iowa Assisted Living Association (IALA) and played a key role in initiating the UIHC Student Nursing Clinical Program Site at Prairie Hills Cedar Rapids.

Cheri’s approach to leadership is a balance of analytics and heart—her head is in the numbers, but her passion lies with the residents and the relationships she has built over the years. She is committed to ensuring that every resident feels valued and at home in their community.

Outside of work, Cheri enjoys spending time with her husband, two grown children, and three grandchildren, along with their beloved German Shepherd, Tucker. She and her husband have a prized classic car collection and love attending car shows. She also has a passion for flower gardening and enjoys relaxing on her patio, taking in nature, and watching the birds.

Cheri believes in creating a welcoming and enriching lifestyle for every resident at Prairie Hills Cedar Rapids, just as she has cultivated in her own life.
